Ambassadorial role for 'Drummo'
Tuesday 13 March 2007
Josh Drummond has accepted a role as the ambassador for the Sunshine Coast Juniors.
He will become the face of football promotions on the coast, endorsing league activities and contributing on occasions to the league website and other publications.
"Drummo", happy to take on this voluntary role, played most of the 1990 s as a junior at Wises Road for the Maroochydore Roos.
He represented the Sunshine Coast for many years at school and regional level before heading to the Northern Eagles, now the Zillmere Eagles, to launch his AFL career.
So, as the latest Sunshine Coast Juniors Newsletter says, "look out for Josh cruising around the coast". You won't miss him because the new League car will soon carry an action shot of the free-running utility player on it.
Drummond remains sidelined by injury at present with a recurring and frustrating back/hamstring/core stability issues. He has underdone a wide variety of treatment and hopes to be playing by mid-March.
